testimonial
“Hanna was recommended to me for her expertise in accessible website design. As a neurodivergent disabled artist, I was immediately impressed by her approach. Hanna also combines absolute professionalism with a warm and collaborative approach, providing knowledge and insights that have helped me reconsider my practice at an important, delicate moment of renewal in my career. I have found this process deeply rewarding, and I am delighted with the quality of my new website, which I feel represents me perfectly. Hanna has an innate understanding of creative practice and works holistically to arrive at elegant solutions to practical problems. I now have a website I’m proud of, and Hanna is a delight to work with.”
Sonia Boué is an artist whose multiform practice spans visual art, writing, research, advocacy and mentoring. seachange designed and built a new website to reflect the breadth and maturity of her work, bringing clarity and confidence to a complex, interconnected practice. The build also included migrating a substantial archive of material from her previous site and setting up a quarterly newsletter, giving Sonia a direct line to her audience.
overview
The central challenge was structural: organising a body of work that resists categorisation without losing the connections between projects. seachange developed a filterable portfolio where visitors can browse the whole practice or follow a theme, with cross-links keeping related projects in conversation.
Accessibility shaped the design throughout, from predictable navigation to controlled line lengths and colour contrast. The typeface, Sabon, was designed by Jan Tschichold, whose experience of exile quietly echoes the themes of displacement in Sonia’s work.
