sharing your
art practice
by seachange and Jennifer Lauren Gallery
a social media mentoring programme for neurodivergent and disabled artists, supported studios and disability arts organisations.
Many artists understand the importance of Instagram as part of their professional practice, yet struggle with the pressure, overwhelm and inconsistency that can come with maintaining an online presence.
For neurodivergent and disabled artists, these challenges are often compounded by advice that assumes high output and rigid consistency.
Sharing Your Art Practice takes a different approach. Developed collaboratively by seachange and Jennifer Lauren Gallery (who have known and worked together for over twenty years), the programme combines practical Instagram strategy with individualised, artist-centred mentoring.
The result is an approach that feels sustainable, authentic and genuinely aligned with your practice.
Sessions are delivered online and can be adapted to suit different communication styles, access needs and energy levels, including working on crip time.
the programme
The programme is delivered across three sessions. The team reviews your Instagram presence and artistic context in advance, so sessions are focused and specific from the outset.
Session one: Instagram review and strategyLed by seachange.
We review your current presence, identify content categories and develop a realistic posting structure. Practical guidance on captions, scheduling and platform best practice, with systems tailored to your working style and energy levels.
Session two: practice development and content mentoringLed by Jennifer Lauren Gallery.
Identifying key moments and works within your practice worth sharing, building confidence in discussing and writing about your work, and developing approaches to present it authentically.
Session three: follow up and accountability A joint session. Approximately one to two months after the first. Reviewing progress, troubleshooting challenges, refining your structure and providing accountability and encouragement as you move into ongoing Instagram use.
how it works
Clear guidance on your current Instagram presence and where to focus your energy. A content and posting structure built around your practice, not a template. Greater confidence in what to post, why to post it and how the platform works. Tailored approaches to your individual working style, with accessibility at the centre. And a follow up session to support long term consistency and momentum.
